Korina Sanchez brightens her Instagram feed with posts capturing her #BestLife. A doting mom to twins Pepe and Pilar, a career woman pursuing her passions, she is also a "fitspiration" who looks fabulous even in swimsuits. And she's 57 years old.

In an exclusive interview with (Philippine Entertainment Portal) last April 25, 2022, Monday, at the launch of Live Nation Philippines in Makati City, she was asked: What's the reaction of her husband, former senator Mar Roxas, seeing her in a swimsuit?

"Kung minsan, kinukuwestiyon ako ng asawa ko, sabi ko, 'Bakit, hindi ka ba proud?'"

She continued, "I think pag wala na talaga akong karapatan, hindi ko na gagawin. Pero ngayon na puwede pa, bakit hindi? Siyempre, parang huling hirit ko."


More than flaunting her fit bod, Korina says her posts aim to inspire women her age—especially those with young children—to also live a healthier lifestyle.

"I really want to inspire women over 40, 45, or 50, to stay fit, and it just seems to be the collateral benefit of my having to be fit because my kids are very young.

"So I have to stay healthy. I have to stay fit. So that's the...collateral benefit niya na I have muscles, wala akong tiyan, ganun."

She continued, "I'm proud and I'm happy to inspire and that's really all it is. I'm just loving life."

On Staying Fit

Based on her Instagram account, swimming seems to be a staple in her workout routine. Korina also does weights in her car when she's stuck in traffic.

She said, "I do weights. I do weights every day. I have weights in the car para while waiting in traffic, may muscle na nagagalaw."


Her Instagram posts would also show that she has tried the low-carb-high-fat Keto diet and intermitted fasting.

During the interview, she said, "There was also a time when I really wanted to lose weight, I really did intermittent fasting. But now, with all the work and the stress that I go through, I don't need to do that because I really don't get hungry until around two-three-four p.m.

"So I eat a big meal and wala, I just have a very light midnight snack before I sleep if I'm still awake and that's it."

The Rated Korina host also makes sure that she gets all the nutrition she needs with her vitamin supplements.

"I think fasting is good for the body as long as you're hydrated and well-nourished. I'm very big on supplements. I'm sure that my vitamins are complete. Pero sa eating itself, not really."
