Kendall Jenner attended yesterday's Golden Globes in a gorgeous Giambattista Valli dress. It was in black, of course, in line with the cause many went to support. She was stunning as always, to say the least! The only difference was, the model seemed to have a few visible breakouts that day, receiving some comments about it online.
Fortunately, Kendall responded to the negativity by ignoring it altogether. She replied to a positive comment about her red carpet appearance instead, with an encouraging message to match.
A fan tweeted unprocessed photos of the model from the event, writing, "Ok but Kendall Jenner showing up and strutting her acne while looking like a gorgeous star is what every girl needs to understand." After a few minutes, Kendall tweeted back with—"Never let that sh*t stop you!"
And trust us when we say that she isn't just saying that. Kendall has previously opened up about her long struggle with acne, revealing how it affected her self-esteem.
"I wouldn't even look at people when I talked to them. I felt like such an outcast; when I spoke, it was with my hand covering my face," she once wrote in her old blog. "Even after things started to clear up, it took a solid amount of time to be okay with my skin and gain back my confidence. I realized that it’s a part of life for some people and it doesn’t define who you are."
Now, here she is spreading a skin positive message at a major Hollywood event, completely unbothered. Besides, who wouldn't feel like a million bucks in that dress? Acne be damned.
