Cop this look for the next time you're attending a wedding!

While it's wedding guest etiquette to let the bride shine the brightest, that doesn't mean you shouldn't make an effort to at least look presentable. After all, you'll be in the photos, too!

Take Julia Barretto's look for her sister Dani Barretto's wedding, for example. As maid of honor, she kept her hair polished but still effortless by opting for a textured ponytail. It's a simple look that's by no means difficult to do on your own for the next wedding you're attending, but we do have tips from her hairstylist Jay Wee below to help you out!

According to the hairstylist, texturizing spray is a must-have for this look. "I usually use texturizing spray [on] fine, limp hair if I want to give it more body and texture [while] making sure that the waves stay as long as possible," he tells Preview. The product will give your strands a slight lift, creating the illusion of thicker hair and more volume at the top for your pontyail. It'll also make your curls look more undone and natural.

On Julia, Jay used Ouai's Wave Spray, a protein-rich texturizing mist that helps enhance and hold texture. "While hair is damp, I spray it on the roots and mid shaft of the strands then I blowdry the hair before I wrap it in a curling iron," he explains.

If you love dry shampoo, then Jay says you'd definitely want to try a wave spray, too. "Some texturizing sprays can also act as dry shampoo if you want to give your curls [a] boost to last the entire day," he shares. That said, you'd want to look for one with a matte finish so it can tone down shine on your roots as it builds volume on your hair. Jay recommends Eva NYC's Surf's Up Texture Spray for this!
