Joey Mead King Opens Up About How She Embraces Aging

Joey Mead King recently took to Instagram to share her version of 51. In her post, the supermodel talked about how the photo was captured in a studio, where there was hair and makeup, lights, and a great photographer.

Then, she pivoted and revealed some of her truths—truths that define what authenticity is to her, her relationship with beauty, and how she embraces aging.

In the video, Joey began by affirming what she looks like at 51 without botox and fillers. She also talked about undergoing Rejuran and having a simple skincare routine. Then, she started enumerating facial manifestations of aging such as sunspots, gray hair, hooded brows, marionette lines, and crepey skin.

While Joey admitted that there are days when the aforementioned collectively brings her down, accompanied by the pressure to maintain a certain look, she chooses to focus on not caring and to give herself grace, be comfortable with who she is, and make what's working work.

"At the moment, this is where I am and this is me at 51—wrinkles, crinkles, grays and all," declared Joey.
