For example, Jane Oineza’s collection of body art is as gorgeous as it is meaningful. In a recent ABS-CBN interview, Jane finally unveiled the relevance of her tattoos and opened up about why she got them in the first place. She explained, “Lahat kasi ng tattoo ko may meaning sa’kin and pati ‘yung placements din, sobra kong OC as a person so hindi ako basta-basta [nagpapalagay]. Kailangan pinag-iisipan ko, kailangan mag-spark siya muna ng joy sa’kin.”

The Meanings Behind Jane Oineza's Minimalist Tattoos
1. A Latin quote on her arm
Following the death of her character in Precious Hearts Romances Presents Araw Gabi, Jane decided that it was the best time to get her first-ever ink. Located at the side of her arm, the tattoo spells out one of her favorite Latin quotes in cursive. “It’s Latin for ‘she flies with her own wings.’ Ito ‘yung first-ever tattoo ko,” she shared. “After Araw Gabi, nagpa-tattoo na ako. Siyempre kasi continuity so hindi pwedeng magpa-tattoo during [filming]."
2. The word "breathe" on her thumb
Jane's next ink is another word tattoo that reads "breathe." Beyond serving as a reminder for Jane to prioritize her mental well-being, the tattoo is also placed strategically on her finger so it's always within her line of sight. She revealed, "Kapag [I'm] going through something or breaking down, usually I tend to hug my knees. So parang kitang-kita ko talaga siya na hinga ka lang. And it really helps when you’re going through something. Just take a deep breath."
3. Sun and moon on her wrists
To symbolize her Zodiac sign and favorite teleserye, Jane also had the sun and moon tattooed on both of her wrists. “Marami siyang meaning for me. Part na rin ‘yung Araw Gabi. I’m a Cancer so ito ‘yung moon when I was born, and Cancer rin kasi is a moon child,” she explained.
4. Two dots on her finger
The two dots etched on Jane’s pinky finger are barely noticeable in the majority of her photos. Still, the tiny ink serves as the other half of the curved line tattoo of her reel-to-real boyfriend, RK Bagatsing. Together, the two tattoos form a cute smiley face!
5. A cloud behind her ear
Similarly, Jane also has a smiling cloud inked behind her ear. The story behind it is simple—Jane just enjoys gazing up at the sky! “It’s a cloud with a smiley rin kasi I love skies [and] I love clouds,” she stated.
6. A flower on her rib
Jane’s last hidden tattoo is only visible when she wears bikinis and crop tops. The intricate design shows a beautiful larkspur, the flower of her birth month.
