Spotting Isabelle Daza at Tim Yap's birthday party spurred a glorious nostalgic moment in us. Because last night, in her pursuit to ace the party's "national costume" dress code, she went as Miss Universe Philippines 1969 herself, Gloria Diaz.

The similarities were definitely striking, and the way the It girl continuously reenacted her mom's "winning face" guaranteed her win for best costume!
That said, a closer look at the details of her costume left us in awe. Gloria Diaz's original pageant look was definitely more editorial than your average beauty queen's, so replicating it required true makeup and hair magic to achieve.
Makeup artist Anthea Bueno had to recreate graphic cut crease eyeliner and thinner, highly arched brows on Belle, which required Belle's real eyebrows to be concealed and drawn on. Her cheekbones and nose were contoured quite heavily to mimic Gloria's bone structure as well! But, as taxing as the process may sound, Anthea says that making a doppelgänger out of Belle was easy. "They just look so alike," she gushes.
Belle also shared on Instagram that she had to trim her sideburns to achieve this look, and of course, she had to borrow her mom's crown to do it. Talk about a crowning moment to a swinging party!
