Let's be real: There's no such thing as "poreless" or "perfect" skin. It's easy to forget this truth, especially when we see celebrities all glammed-up on IG. Lately, however, many stars have been posting bare-faced selfies online. Proudly showing us what their real skin textures look like, they're here to remind us that having pores, acne, and discolorations is completely normal.
Below, we list down five celebs and influencers who will inspire you to be kinder to yourself:
Local Celebs And Influencers Who Showed Their Real Skin Texture On IG
1. Andi Eigenmann
In an Instagram post, Andi opened up about how she used to feel pressured to have "perfect skin" as an actress. She wrote, "I have a ton of freckles, my face randomly gets red, pores aren’t invisible, and random blemishes that pop out here and there. I used to get hurt when people assume I don’t use sunblock or that I seemed to have stopped taking care of myself as per the photos I post on IG. When in reality, sorry to burst ya bubble but all that changed is that I stopped posting photos that are photoshopped or taken with the 'best' lighting."

According to Andi, she continues to take care of her skin but now, her goal isn't to achieve "perfectly clear and flawless skin [that] people expect from me because I can't achieve that." Instead, she shared, "It’s about accepting what I’ve naturally got and keeping it at its best. So yes, my skin still isn’t flawlessly perfect but I'm happy about the little things [my skincare] products have been doing to my face (I.e. my face has def been so much healthier, more hydrated, and plumper; and my beloved frecks are not as stuck together anymore making my skin come off discolored in some shots), and that's more than enough to me."

2. Catriona Gray
Catriona is undeniably stunning, but previously, she reminded her followers that her skin isn't "flawless" and that's okay! Posting a makeup-free pic of herself, the Miss Universe 2018 titleholder wrote, "Just jumping on here with a bare-faced selfie to remind you that even though in photoshoots, makeup and IG story filters, my skin looks 'flawless' ...in reality, I have pores, oiliness, fine lines, breakouts, beauty spots, and moles...and I'm perfectly fine with that. This is just a kind little reminder to remember that what we see online is a 'curated feed' and that we shouldn't compare that to our everyday reality."

3. Janina Vela
"Just some honest texture," Janina Vela once captioned a no-makeup selfie, highlighting her acne and her pores. She shared, "My skin has always been an insecurity for me. I remember hearing an ad on the radio in my pre-teens, a boy calling someone 'crater girl'. This was a concept by the brand for marketing the product, but I have never forgotten the boy’s voice. I felt like he was talking to ME. Being on-screen almost every day as a teenager wasn’t easy for someone so acne-prone as I was. My skin has gotten better, but stress (and stress eating!) definitely brings bad days, so here’s a little PSA for someone who might need to hear it: Pores are NORMAL. whiteheads and blackheads are NORMAL. Discoloration is NORMAL. Acne is NORMAL."

4. Michelle Dy
Back in February 2021, beauty vlogger Michelle Dy proudly shared an unfiltered photo of herself, showing that she has zits and some discolorations on her face. She wrote, "I'm here to let you know that 'It's Ok.'" Hear, hear, Michelle!

5. Bianca Gonzalez
Just like most of us, Bianca Gonzalez experienced breakouts during the lockdowns. In an Instagram post, the TV host posted a bare-faced selfie, and her caption is so comforting: "It really is difficult to feel confident when you get breakouts, but it really does happen to many of us. You are not alone. #normalizeacne"
