To celebrate their anniversary in Manila, Paris based make up brand, Make Up For Ever staged a body painting runway show inspired by the art of the Impressionists of the 19th century. Taking cue from the saturated hues of nature that are often seen in the works of Monet, Cezanne, Renoir and Pissarro among others, the makeup artists worked tirelessly from as early as 8:00 in the morning the day of the runway show to completely transform the models into walking works of art.
Chief Makeup Artist for the brand, David Arbid, flew in from Paris to attend the event and to see his team in action. He told us, “I’m really glad to be here and to see our team doing something more artistic, to show the real face of Make Up For Ever.” Arbid also noted that the idea of hosting a body painting runway show took off from last year’s 25th anniversary bash which featured 25 muses painted to represent the different looks of Make Up For Ever.
Eleven models walked the salon show at Member’s Only, each coated head to toe in highly pigmented teals, magentas, violets and oranges displaying the intricate artistry of the Make Up For Ever team.
