“It took me two years to grow out my red lob.” (@tgosingtian)
Tricia Gostingtian is one of those chameleons who can switch from being kawaii one minute to haute the next. (She did coin the term "sophisticute" to describe her style, way back when.) At the #TresemmeRunwayReady backstage extravaganza last May 6, the techie fashion blogger graced the event in a black Rhett Eala ensemble paired with pretty #BraidsandTwists.
Pro hairstylist Apriel Seguin matched her glam frock with a youthful fishtail braid made trendy via blonde extensions. “It was inspired by Khaleesi from Game of Thrones. Tricia’s hair color is light brown to caramel, which blends well with blonde. The extensions created high lights and low lights on her hair giving off an ombre effect.” As for the plaits, he shares, “I just put the extensions at the crown of her head then did a fishtail French braid.”
Find out how to do the fishtail (it's tricky! but you got this) from the queen of braids herself, Lauren Conrad:
