With all the outdoor activities you're bound to do this summer, the sun will eventually catch up with you. We don't mean sunburn, of course. We're talking the loveliest beach souvenir of them all—a summer tan.
When flaunted the right way, your new tan can be your best asset for the season. Besides, you'll only have it for a few months, so better make the most of it! Here's how:
1. Keep your skin moisturized
A few days after getting a tan, you'll naturally start peeling. But if you layer on the body creams and lotion, that won't happen! All that hydration will save you from peeling and let you keep your bronze glow longer.

2. Don't take hot showers
Hot water dries out your skin and dehydration equals peeling, so try your best to avoid the steam. Besides, it's too humid not to bathe with cold water, anyway.
3. Touch up any tan lines
Any difference in color throws off the look of an even tan. For special events, even out your skin color with a light layer of foundation or a liquid body bronzer you can wash off at the end of the night.

4. Wear more bronzer
Bronzer is essential for showing off your summer skin. It gives the complexion a boost like how a highlighter would, and it's great for warming up the skin when your foundation becomes a bit too light.

5. Use a different foundation
When your skin becomes an entirely different color, blending foundation down your neck stops being a good trick. Instead of wasting a ton of product and time, invest in a good summer base that matches your tan.

6. Glow with a bronze body oil
Don't get turned off by that last word. A thin layer of a good-quality body oil will give your skin a beautiful glow while moisturizing it, too.

7. Wear bolder lip colors
Take this opportunity to experiment with hues you couldn't pull off two skin shades ago. Those chocolate and orange lipsticks you've been hiding won't wear themselves!
