In contrast to the bright colors and bold prints dominating the Spring 2016 runways, one beauty trend remains to be prevalent—the makeup from “last night.” It’s an intensified version of the no-makeup look, zoning in on dewy skin and hazy eyes.
Keeping in line with the season’s look of the moment, Tory Burch brings in New York-based makeup artist Diane Kendal to give her models a porcelain-like finish. The trick was to make skin “lit up” from within while giving it a slightly worn-in look that’s still clean and polished.
Kendal starts by moisturizing, prepping, and illuminating the skin to even out the tone. After which, she sweeps Tory Burch’s Bronzer & Blush in Divine on the cheeks to give it warmth. Beginning on the eyes, Kendal applies a matte, natural wash of color onto the lids using Tory Burch’s Pas du Tout Eyeshadow Palette in Gamine. Next, she dusts a fine coat of powder on the entire lid for full coverage before lining the upper lash line with MAC’s Eye Kohl in Teddy. To finish off the look, she smudges the outer corner using her fingers, giving it that lived-in feel.
