Our mantra for the holidays is to wear makeup that will kill us inside to wash off. 'Tis the season for going all out anyway, so skimping on the glam is hardly an option. If you're game to join us, you're more than welcome to do so. Below are 10 beauty looks worth spending hours on and definitely worth flaunting on the 'gram:

1. If you don't want to do full-on glam, go bare and just swipe on the strongest highlighter in your collection and call it a day.

2. A red lip is always the answer to a party makeup mental block. Go light on the eyes to balance the look—a thin black line and some mascara should do the trick.

3. It's peak gloss season, ladies, so go ahead and swipe on the juiciest formula you own. (Tip: Wear a budgeproof lip stain underneath so you'd still have some color left even after eating all the holiday grub.)

4. To make your regular cat eye more festive, draw your wings with a glitter eyeliner instead. It'll give you that "I tried" vibe without having to do too much.

5. Spice up a black outfit with its best buddy on the shimmer spectrum—gold. A suggestion: Wear it as eyeshadow and then color your lashline with a black pencil for drama and definition.

6. Not confident in your eyeshadow blending skills? Pop some gold on your inner corners instead for a subtle yet party-appropriate element.

7. Don't let the holidays end without at least one glitter eye look on your repertoire. Try this confetti-inspired eye if you're running low on ideas!

8. This one's for when you want something classic and easy but still festive. Instead of a vibrant red lip à la Ruby Woo, opt for a muted brick hue that's just on the verge of vampy.

9. We're unabashedly calling this look the Nadine Lustre—neutral, polished, and contoured in all the right places. Feel free to make your own version, but don't forget the cat eye, the blush across the nose, and the glossy nude lip.

10. This winged eye look isn't for the faint of heart, and that's the best thing about it. The secret to nailing it is doing your eyeshadow first so you can clean up the edges without messing up your foundation.
