You can’t deny Heart Evangelista’s ability to always look on point. It’s partly due to her wearable glam look—one she’s mastered so her makeup is consistent. To get it, you’ll need the right products and application techniques. Heart uses Tom Ford makeup products, and here’s how to use them for her classic look:
1. Traceless Perfecting Foundation
Since she isn’t a fan of heavy makeup, Heart uses a buildable, skin-like foundation. The Traceless Perfecting Foundation is perfect for her because it’s long-wearing, has a natural finish, and helps create a “poreless” canvas. She likes to apply a thin layer only on the center of her face. “It frames your face even more. It just looks beautiful when the light hits,” Heart points out.
2. Traceless Foundation Stick
This is a foundation stick that Heart uses as concealer. She applies the full coverage foundation on her brow bone using a small, fluffy brush. This helps clean up the brows. You can also use this to hide dark circles under your eyes (the soft, matte finish helps!).
3. Shade and Illuminate
As for contour, Heart uses the creamy yet sheer Shade and Illuminate palette. For a natural-looking contour, avoid over-chiseling your face. Try Heart’s tip: “Dab your thumb onto the contour and ‘stamp’ [the product] right under your cheekbone. Then [to blend,] use a brush to brush up and down or in a circular motion.”
4. Eye Color Quad in Cocoa Mirage and Disco Dust
For high-impact eyeshadow, you need super-pigmented eyeshadow that blends easily, just like those in Tom Ford’s Eye Color Quad palettes. Heart uses a nude shade from Cocoa Mirage as a base, then a darker brown from the same palette as eyeliner. She “connects” her eyeliner to her eyeshadow in layers, blending as soon as she applies a new shade to ensure a seamless look.
From the Disco Dust palette, she uses a rose gold hue to top off her subtle smokey eye. She also uses a shimmery shade from the same palette on the center of her eyelids to highlight her eyes.
5. Brow Sculptor in Espresso
For beautifully sculpted brows, use a brow product with an angled tip and a built-in mascara wand for blending. Brow Sculptor has both, plus a calligraphy tip that allows for thin or thick strokes. Heart uses the dark shade Espresso on the tails of her brows. She likes a lighter hue to fill in the middle of her brows. “I think it’s nice to have that ombre effect because it’s more natural,” says Heart.
6. Shade and Illuminate Kohl Duo in Solaris
Tightlining your waterline is difficult, and it’s made more so when your makeup smudges easily. The Shade and Illuminate Kohl Duo in Solaris is waterproof, so it won’t fade as you glide it along your lash line. Heart does this to define her eyes even more.
7. Sheer Cheek Duo in Paradise Lust
For the cutest flush, Heart uses Sheer Cheek Duo in Paradise Lust. It’s a universally flattering peachy pink blush and highlighter duo that helps bring that youthful glow. You can apply it wet or dry, depending on the intensity you’re going for.
8. Radiant Perfecting Powder in Luna
If you want a lit-from-within glow, apply this fine champagne highlighter as a finishing touch. Heart uses it on the inner corners of her eyes and down the bridge of her nose.
