Because of their profession, many celebrities keep their tattoo design choices small. The same can be said for Heart Evangelista, whose steadily growing tattoo collection is minimal as can be. Heart Evangelista's Small, Minimalist Tattoos and Their Hidden Meanings
1. Heart
It just makes perfect sense for Heart to have her namesake shape inked on her body. She had it placed on her left inner wrist, and the solid pop of red can be seen in many of her Instagram photos!
The ink started off as a simple red outline until Heart updated it with more color in 2019. It's Heart's oldest tattoo, done by P&P Tattoo (@pandptattoo) back in 2018.
"Not the type but I always wanted a little little one," she wrote on an Instagram story moments before the session.
2. "Love"
Heart's tattoo collection grew slowly but surely since 2018. For her second ink, she opted to have the word "love" on the side of her wrist, an inch away from her first tattoo.
Despite its delicate design, this one has a couple of personal meanings for the style star. Not only is it another namesake ink (ICYDK, Heart's real first name is Love Marie), the tattoo is in her husband Chiz Escudero's handwriting! It was inked by the actress' go-to artist, Annie Concepcion (@theuncannie), who's also behind the shading of Heart's first tatt.
3. Daisies
Heart's most recent tattoo is her most intricate one yet. You'll spot it on her right ankle, in the form of a pair of white daisies.
Like the actress' first ink, this was also done in two phases. She first inked the face of one daisy on September 2021, before turning it into two stems a month later. The ink was also done by Annie Concepcion.
On why she chose daisies, Heart told Cosmopolitan, "A daisy means new beginnings, motherhood, purity, innocence, and I love it. Daisies are wildflowers, and I really do identify with a wildflower because no matter where you plant them they will actually bloom.
"I also love the color white, so I thought that would be good. I'm also a pretty complicated person, and it's a reminder for me to not be so complicated just like the daisy. So, I really thought of getting a daisy, and I was happy about it."
Because of her fear of needles, Heart was quite teary while having this ink done. The gorgeous end result seems more than worth it, though!
