In this world, there are two types of beauty. There are ugly ducklings who transform into swans, and there are those who are just darn born with it—Heart Evangelista is obviously the latter. But even ladies as gorgeous as her all go through changes, it is an inevitable part of growing up, after all. So before she turns 30 and ties the knot this weekend, let's look back at her evolution through the five times she graced Preview's cover.
Preview September 2005
Heart's debut with Preview was back in 2005. The doe-eyed beauty blew us away with her gift for posing and her fresh face that knows no angles.
The look: everyone's favorite, the no-makeup makeup effect which brought out her 20 year-old features. Even her nails were bare.
Fun fact: the venue for the shoot was scorching hot so Heart decided to tie her hair in a bun. Yes, she did it herself and the look made its way to the cover!
Preview March 2007
Two years later, Preview saw a different side of Heart Evangelista as she graced the cover for the second time around. Together with Nikki Gil, the chinita beauty brought color to this retro summer issue.
The look: A redefined pin-up beauty wearing low ponytail with an eye-grazing fringe, fully lined eyes and the pop of an orange pout.
Heart makes an alluring return to the glossy's front with a vintage Chinese movie poster-inspired shoot. Very Wong Kar-Wai.
The look: Bobbi Brown's international makeup artist, Sebastian Tardif, kept Heart's face clean and focused on making the plum pout pop. Her sophisticated, sculpture-esque, old-timey updo on the other hand was the work of Ogie Rayel of Kiehl's.
Joined by Marian Rivera, Solenn Heussaff, and Lovi Poe; together the girls of Temptation Island (dressed in Marc Jacobs) proved that clashing colors (or personalities) can work.
A chameleon was born when Heart jumped from her minimalist cover looks to maximalist maquillage complete with amethyst eyeshadow and juicy red orange lipstick. She of course managed to look great in both.
Preview October 2014
Just a few months ago, the stunning bride-to-be fronted our big beauty issue.
A strong and mature woman grasped the dark peg and made it her own, replete with emotions seen through her piercing stares.
The look: Fully lined brows, minimal contouring and lining of the eyes, dark tips, and a mix of plum and nude pouts.
How can anyone ever get tired of that face? Senator Chiz is one lucky guy.
