Best Low-Maintenance Haircuts According to Hairstylists
1. Alex Carbonell of Studio Fix by Alex Carbonell
"Now that we have learned so many lessons and have realized that these are uncertain times worrying about what’s next, we definitely wanted to plan ahead. [My tips for choosing a haircut are:] 1) Keep it classic and basic. Precision cuts grow well, and giving soft textures and inner layers can allow the hair to grow very lightly or not heavy. 2) Choose timeless cuts. A blunt cut is a clean cut where all sections of hair fall in one straight line; A bob cut gives you volume and a clean outline; A layered cut with a face-framing shape and inner cuts allows your hair to be flexible allowing you to style in different ways."

2. Maté Grafl of Toni & Guy
"My most recomended, easy-to-manage hairstyle would be long hair with layers to give lightness to the hair and also give volume. Even if you have unruly hair, layers can make you look quite cool and young without spending hours to fix it . My second recomendation would be shoulder-length haircut with nice curtain, full, or side bangs with shorter front layers to frame the face. These hairstyles can look so cool even if you wear your hair in a ponytail, while the bangs and front layers would give you texture."

3. Suyen Salazar
"I love a good blunt cut on the collar bone with textured layers! This is perfect for ladies that want a nice grow out without having to visit the salon so often. Any length on the collar bone and below is a safe length to avoid any awkward grow outs."

4. Jude Hipolito of JuRo Salon
"For a post-quarantine, low-maintenance haircut, I recommend a precision cut that suits the client, ranging from: A) Various textured pixie cuts; B) Short, medium or long bob cuts that are softly textured; C) Various collar-bone, mid-length cuts; and D) Various textured, long, layered cuts. Again, the key words here are suitability, precision and textured so that the hair looks good daily and will grow out well."

5. Fendi George of Koop Studio
"First is 'the new bob' or the blunt collarbone cut. I love this cut with bangs or face-framing fringe for clients that are not ready to commit to bangs. It's easy to maintain and works for both wavy curly and straight hair! Second is the French girl bob—trendy, edgy, super wash and wear haircut! You can wear it with bangs or just straight cut! The next is the long classic shag, which is a high layered cut that creates volume and movement. You can wear it curly or straight or even wet silky look (using the right products is important for the low maintenance). A Lovely easy soft cut. My last look is the micro fringe! One of my favorite trends that will hit the hair industry! It can open up the face and show the eyebrows. It's fun and easy to manage and I think it's super cute!"

6. Mark Rosales of Marqed Salon
"For thick hair, you can consider adding some gradual layers to take off some of the weight and speed up the styling time. You won't need to worry if you don't have time to get a regular trim because with this haircut, you will still have dimension to your hair. For thin hair, embrace an easy, one-length cut [like a] blunt haircut—the ends of this haircut can create the illusion of thickness. It's super easy to maintain, you don't have to work with a ton of products."

7. Joe Almakdesi of Basement Salon
"I must say when it comes to low-maintenance haircuts, it's all about keeping your hair medium-length or long with a few long layers so it's easy to have it up in case you don't have much time to work with it. Stay away from fringes and sharp blunt haircut because you always have to go back and have a trim every two weeks or more."

8. Junie Sierra of The Bloc by Junie Sierra & Co.
"My most recommended low-maintenance haircut to get after quarantine is a classic bob cut—either a square bob or a long bob. It is always safe to have a classic bob cut because this hairstyle is one of the easiest to maintain and styled at the same time. It's also proven a [failproof] kind of haircut since it's a quick, easy wash-and-wear hairstyle perfect for women on the go."

9. Lourd Ramos of Creations by Lourd Ramos
"Go back to the basics. [Choose a haircut] that will give more flexibility, will grow well, and doesn't need too much attention but can be a signature look. 1) Basic bob: A Bob will always be precise, classic, and can accent any facial shape.; 2) Full layers: Low-maintenance but stylish if curled, straightened, or left the way it is."
