With the amount of pollution we're exposed to every day, it's not enough to have a kickass skin care routine. Our hair apparently suffers a great deal from dust and smoke, as well.

According to P&G Hair Care's Asia Pacific senior scientist Saint Tiu, scientific tests have revealed that exposure to pollution weighs down our tresses and makes it 20% rougher in texture. "If left untreated, this additional roughness results in hair more prone to hair fall due to breakage," he says.

But this doesn't mean that you have to tuck your hair inside a hat to stay protected, not at all. Because if we have sunscreen for the sun, we have proper hair care for pollution. Here's how Gabbi Garcia shields hers from damage:

For the actress, Pantene's Hair Fall Control Shampoo and 3-Minute Miracle Conditioner are the solution to long shoot days outdoors. "[They] repair my damaged hair from root to tip," says Gabbi.
