The transformation of Gucci under the genius of Alessandro Michele doesn't end at fashion. He's reinventing the brand's allure for beauty as well, crossing the barriers of perfuming with the release of Gucci Guilty. And serving as the face of this new venture is Jared Leto, who stars in the perfume's steamy film campaign with models Julia Hafstrom and Vera Van Erp.
Directed by Glen Luchford, the film explores the magical city of Venice through the eyes of three people who are discovering themselves in each other. It's a seductive film that lures you into the lurking souls of people who are truly free, and their story definitely has one toe dipped into a controversial concept. "I think it is disruptive in the way that it explores sensuality and sexuality and it’s surreal," Jared shares in an exclusive interview. "It’s not your typical kind of fragrance campaign filled with one, you know beauty shot after another...It’s very cinematic. It’s very suggestive in terms of narrative and it touches on the surreal."
But is the actor afraid of the response from this racy campaign? Not really, and if anything, he's extremely hopeful of the turnout. "I mean, I hope they enjoy what we’ve done. I hope that they have an experience. That the film takes them to a place they haven’t been before or a place that they wish they could go to or maybe a place that they have been but they want to visit again. I think that the film breaks some rules and they're taking some risks and that is always fun to be a part of."

As if the heart-fluttering film isn't enough of an incentive, Gucci Guilty's For Him and For Her scents also come with an exciting twist that is in line with their penchant for breaking gender barriers. The For Him scent has ingredients typically used in women's perfumes like orange blossom, lavender, and patchouli, while For Her contains a signature fougère accord of geranium and a magical combination of lilac and amber.
