Like a lot of us, actress Glaiza De Castro also deals with an oily complexion—and even pimple marks!
During the Preview 25 House Party, Glaiza shared that one of the best skincare lessons she learned in her 30s is to simply use the right moisturizer for her skin type. While some prefer to skip moisturizing, the actress said that it actually helped improve her skin.
"Hindi ako [gumagamit] ng moisturizer before kasi oily [‘yung skin] ko," she shared. However, “you just really have to find the moisturizer that fits your skin type.
"I [found] a moisturizer that [has a] matte finish from Origins, and it really [helped my] skin na maging healthy. Dati kasi nag b-breakout ako."
When pimples form, Glaiza relies on the classic pricking method to get rid of her zits. "Some people don’t believe in pricking pero I think that worked for me," she said. However, don’t try to prick your pimples on your own, she advised. "Kailangan derma talaga. Siguro kaya sinasabi ng iba na ‘wag i-prick [ang pimples] dahil talagang mangingitim siya.
"Na discover ko lang 'yun recently kasi may mga acne ako na trin-try ko i-prick mag isa tapos nag iwan ng scars."
The actress also revealed the serum she regularly uses to fade her acne marks! "[Favorite ko ‘yung] Mega-Bright [Skin Tone Correcting] Serum ng Origins."
Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins Mega-Bright Skin Tone Correcting Serum, P4500, ORIGINS, available in Origins stores
Another skincare tool she’s been loving recently is a facial cleansing brush from Foreo called Luna, an electronic brush that helps remove dirt, oil, and impurities. This tool also helps exfoliate her skin! "Ang saya lang din niya gamitin," she shared.
