After The Queen's Gambit's massive success, it's no surprise that everyone suddenly wants to cop Beth Harmon's ginger-hued tresses. It's become quite the iconic look, reaching a point where even famous people—Gigi Hadid, specifically—have succumbed to the urge to go red because of the hit Netflix series. She recently unveiled her new look at the Versace Fall/Winter 2021 show, and we have to say—she looks absolutely gorgeous as a redhead!
After hiding her new hair color for a week, Gigi finally posted a selfie with her freshly-dyed locks on March 6. "Surprise," she captioned the post, followed by emojis of a copper heart and a chess piece that hinted at her inspiration.
Once she did her big Instagram reveal, Gigi then posted a video on her stories dated February 26. It showed her having her signature honey-blonde locks colored, captioning it with an orange heart emoji once more and tagging hairstylist Panos Papandrianos.
After which, the model finally revealed her new look's inspo. "She is dedicated to everyone responsible for The Queen's Gambit," she wrote.
She followed it up with an even better view of her new hair in a ponytail!
Her colorist Panos Papandrianos gave another preview of Gigi's ginger locks on his feed, too. And if you look closer, it seems like the model went for a sombré (or soft ombré) copper color!
