Many of you might know Francine Diaz for her role as Cassandra Mondragon in the hit TV series Kadenang Ginto. In 2019, she graced the cover of Preview together with Andrea Brillantes, who played her rival in the hit TV series. Now, Francine is one of the most sought after stars of her generation, even winning the title Most Promising Female Star for Television at the 51st Box Office Entertainment Awards.
While Francine is known for her acting, the young actress is also a style star in the making. Her youthful OOTDs and minimal, dainty makeup have turned us into real fans, and we have no doubt she'll captivate us with more looks soon!
Below, we’ve rounded up nine of Francine’s prettiest makeup looks and how you can cop them:
1.Subtle blush and gradient lips
The key to this Korean-inspired look is the natural-looking flush across the cheeks and the gradient lips. Here’s how you can do it: Opt for a powder blush and apply it little by little, slowly building up the color on your cheeks. When you're done, grab a water tint and apply it evenly all over your lips. Once the tint has set, take a little bit of concealer and dab it lightly on the outer corners of your lips to achieve that gradient lip effect.
2. Long wispy lashes and glossy lips
Francine looks phenomenal in this amplified neutral makeup look, which is easier to achieve than you think. First, apply long wispy falsies to enhance your eyes and tightline with black eyeliner for fuller-looking eyelashes. For the lips, you can either use a tinted gloss or top your favorite warm nude lippie with a layer of clear gloss.
3. "No makeup" makeup
When she isn’t on camera, Francine is usually sporting this effortless and simple makeup look. To achieve it, curl your lashes, apply lengthening mascara, and then dab a rose-hued cream blush on your cheeks to mimic that natural flush. Lastly, grab your favorite tinted lip balm and lightly add color to your lips!
4. Glowing skin and peach eyes
Cop Francine's lit-from-within glow by prepping your skin with moisturizer and a liquid illuminator before makeup. Once you've applied your foundation, lightly dust a highlighter with fine shimmer on the highest points of your face for even more glow! And if you’re wearing something that showcases your décolletage, don't forget to brush highlighter on your collarbones and shoulders as well. Finish off the look by adding a pop of color on your eyes like Francine did with some vivid peach eyeshadow!
5. Natural glam
If you’re getting your photos taken but you don’t want to be all glammed up, this is a look to consider. Take cues from the actress and apply a sheer, skin-like foundation and then define your eyes by smudging dark brown eyeliner as close to your lash line as possible. For the brows, you can achieve Francine’s by outlining its shape using an eyebrow pencil to start, setting it with eyebrow mascara, and finally, cleaning clean the edges using concealer. Wrap up the look by using a translucent powder with a satin finish and a tinted lip gloss!
6. Pink flush
Nothing screams fresh and pretty than a monochrome pink makeup look. The key to pulling it off is choosing a shade of pink that perfectly suits your complexion, like Francine in this bright fuchsia pink. If you’re still intimidated by the color, feel free to skip the eyes and apply the shade only on your cheeks and lips.
7. Dramatic eyes and satin lips
Elevate your usual soft glam by making your eyes and lips the focal point of the look. First, tightline with black eyeliner, curl your lashes, and apply your go-to falsies. (Tip: Coating your falsies with volumizing mascara will bind them together with your natural lashes and make them appear fuller!) As for the lips, you can go for a classic nude pink with a satin finish just like Francine.
8. Minimal cat eye
As much as we love having those perfect triangles at the end of our cat eyes, it never hurts to try something different. Case in point: Francine's ultra slim eyeliner look, which extends her eyes instead of giving a lifted look. This eyeliner technique can make your eyes appear bigger and wide awake while retaining your natural eye shape, resulting in a more natural look.
9. Warm bronze glow
Channel your inner bronze goddess like Francine! Instead of applying your bronzer in between your blush and contour, you can "brontour" instead, which will warm up your complexion sans the harsh lines. Not only will this technique sculpt your cheekbones, it will also give you a sun-kissed glow!
