In case the cooler temperature hasn't looped you in, we've officially entered a new season for beauty. Yes, even though we don't exactly have fall or winter, we have the Ber months to prep and look amazing for here in the tropics. Check out the top trends we spotted from the Fall/Winter 2017 runways to see what you'll be rocking until 2018 hits!
1. Smudged Lips
Val Garland's "snogged lips" technique has latched onto a fall makeup essential: dark lips. In Giambattista Valli, a bright red is applied sloppily all over the lips, and the lip line is diffused than defined. Ann Demeulemeester gave the K-beauty trend a dark and romantic spin that's still uncommital, going with a dark plum that's darkest in the center.

2. Skin Care Glow
Insanely glossy and wet skin seems to be out for fall. In its place, we have skin with a natural, radiant glow. At Salvatorre Ferragamo, the complexion was semi-matte, simple, yet polished, while Missoni recreated the glow we aim for after an intensive skin care regimen.

3. Deconstructed Smokey Eyes
Smokey eyes are anything but passé for the ber months if you spice them up. Give yours a negative space like the boxy shadows at Balmain, or break the rules by extending glitter beyond your crease line. The choice is yours!

4. Full Flush
Sculpting the skin with color is the approach we're bringing in from spring. Blush proves itself as the product of choice, in shades of peach and pink blended below a stripe of highlighter. Max Mara and Issey Miyake highlighted the ease in keeping this technique monochromatic.

5. Pastel Eyes
Color is definitely in for the season. Be it a bold wash of color all over the eyes or a foolproof wing, use pastel colors for a statement that grounds itself.

6. Elevated Black Liner
Black eyeliner is timeless, but reinventing it is a must to shake up your look. You can either take inspiration from Twiggy's cut-crease from the '60s or clean up the grunge eyes of the '90s with kohl-rimmed eyes with a neat wing.

7. Exaggerated Lashes
If colored lids and eyeliner don't float your boat, try making a statement with fluttery eyes. The clumpy colored mascara in Emilio Pucci will give you a pop of color sans the need for precision. Chunky black mascara works as well, provided that you cop the dark waterlines and silver lashlines at R13.

8. Undone Hair
Like the toning down of the dewy skin trend, summer beach waves are being dialed down into clean and undone hair with a bit of texture. It's the no-makeup look of fall/winter hair that'll fill your kit with texturizing sprays and dry shampoo.

9. Bowl Cuts
Looking to make a bold chop? Go all out with a bowl cut or a flattering pixie. The girls at Alexander Wang got buzzcuts, too, if you're not ready for a fringe. But if it's an ambiguous vibe you're seeking, the sleek hair at Hermés goes with any winter coat.

10. Ribbons
From the clothes to the hair, ribbons and bows were all over the runway this season. For one, the giant velvet bows at Tory Burch make for a playful touch to a black tie outfit. The netted ponytails at Rochas are more complex, albeit a great statement for long hair.

11. Ponytails
Yes, ponytails are back on trend, and it doesn't get simpler than that. Use the sleekness of yours to show off statement earrings like in J.W Anderson and Mulberry. Oscar dela Renta's gowns can call for one that's higher up, perfect for your evening affairs.
