"We hope this initiative can jumpstart you and your family’s journey into entrepreneurship, ultimately helping generate income for your household," says the company's CEO.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Ever Bilena Cosmetics Inc. is providing their employees with reseller packages for free as a form of special aid. More than 1,800 of the company's workers will receive products from EBCI skincare brand Hello Glow free of charge, which they can then resell to generate income while the government-mandated ECQ is in place.

Chief Sales and Marketing Officer Denice Sy-Munez reveals on Instagram that the company reached this decision after they were not awarded the CAMP grant (COVID-19 Adjustment Measures Program) by the Department of Labor and Employment, which could have given them financial aid that could help provide for their employees.

Denice writes, "Initially, our idea was to offer our version of the DOLE financial aid...But my Achak [COO Siliman Sy] asked 'how far will P5,000 bring them?' Cash will always run out unless we learn to use them wisely."

Their search for aid that could provide permanent income led them to the growing online presence of their new skincare brand, Hello Glow. "When [Hello Glow] launched in February, we saw how many resellers it was able to help give additional earnings to. Most selling are done online, enabling resellers to become home-based entrepreneurs who safely transact via social media and deliver goods through trusted couriers... amidst the pandemic."

"Thus, we came up with the Hello Glow Special Business Package to be shipped to all 1,800+ of our employees, which they must sell at SRP to make P9,000! By reselling our skin set, we want our employees to learn the value of generating revenue and reinvesting this to grow their Hello Glow business; congruently, their household income."

"We thought this effort would be the best way we can give aid that will encourage you to be productive and learn basic values of being a business owner," says President and CEO Dioceldo Sy in a Facebook post.

"I envision this project to lead some of you to venture into entrepreneurship, which may possibly result to me losing you as an employee. But the country would have gained a new entrepreneur; and this move would also open up opportunity for employment for another Filipino at Ever Bilena. A win-win situation."
