The actress' unfiltered post proves that it's okay to not have perfect skin.

Instagram is a platform that thrives in perfection. Whether it’s for jaw-dropping travelgrams, glamorous OOTDs, or flawless selfies, it's definitely a place where people post and praise all the pretty things. So it was refreshing to see actress Elisse Joson upload an extremely honest set of photos revealing what she looks like on both good and bad days.

With or without makeup, Elisse looks gorgeous. But as we all know, stress, fatigue, diet, and our time of the month contribute a lot to our skin’s overall condition and texture. In her caption, the actress simply writes, “Days when we feel good about ourselves vs. days when we feel the worst...and it's ok to feel both.” And we couldn’t agree more!

Like Elisse, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray also posted a very similar photo back in December, encouraging women to embrace their imperfections and flaws. Both posts garnered thousands of likes and comments from girls who share the same sentiments.

Though these posts are simple selfies, “real and unfiltered” images are rarely seen on an app that sees a zillion photographs a day. So we definitely welcome Elisse’s inspiring selfie as a reminder that bad days should be acknowledged, too!
