Down To Earth Shu Uemura kicks off its '09 artist competition.
Shu Uemura celebrated another highlight last May 27th when it officially launched its 2009 Beauty Art Make-Up Launch Competition at The Spa at Bonifacio High Street. The stylish guests were dressed for the evening's “Elements of Nature” attire, which in itself was a reflection of the competition's overall theme of “Mother Earth.” The best of Japanese Zen adorned the night's ambience, and ninjas and geishas also roamed the room, adding authenticity to the whole evening.

Taking the main stage were the models, showcasing signature Shu looks interpreted by members of their Make-Up Artist veterans. What caught our eye: PMAP's Mia Ayesa's OTT, butterfly eyes and gorgeous, bronze sheen—not for everyday, for sure, but there is a party out there aching for the debut of those feathery falsies.

Also keeping the attendees on their toes was the Kamon Girls treasure hunt, where winners went home with the super kawaii new limited edition cleansing oils by Japanese manga artist Moyoco Anno.

Good luck to all the participants!
