Out of all the varieties of coconut oil, it's best to use extra virgin coconut oil because it contains many of the beneficial properties of the oil that's usually removed during chemical processes. When applied on the hair, it'll smooth out damaged hair by deeply coating the strands. We recommend using it as either a 10-minute pre-shampoo mask or a deep conditioning treatment!

One of the main benefits of olive oil is minimizing unruly frizzy, dry hair and split ends. It helps soften the surface of the hair by providing a barrier, sealing moisture within the hair fibers. It also adds more shine to dull locks! Meanwhile, honey, a natural humectant, improves the luster of the hair by drawing water from the air and bringing the moisture into the hair fibers.

How to make it: Gather one ripe avocado, a tablespoon of olive oil, a tablespoon of pure honey, and an eighth of a cup of coconut milk. Add all ingredients into a blender or food processor until it reaches a smooth conditioner-like consistency. Apply evenly on your hair for 30 minutes, especially on the tips as this is usually the driest part of the hair. Afterwards, rinse and use your usual hair products.

3. Yogurt + Olive Oil Hair Mask

Yogurt contains lactic acid, which can exfoliate dead skin and dirt on the scalp's surface. Its hydrating properties also helps treat dull and frizzy hair by locking in moisture within the strands.
