Disney Princesses And Their Local Celebrity Counterparts

Disney Princesses And Their Local Celebrity Counterparts The good news is that these princesses don't live in a land far, far away.

As little girls, we all believed in fairytales. We all wished upon a star, dreamed of a knight in shining armor, and imagined a life living in a castle. This fantasy obviously had a lot to do with the Disney flicks we grew up watching. And whether we admit it or not, no matter how old we get, a part of us will keep on wishing that we also had fairy godmothers who can provide us with glass shoes like Cinderella’s. Actually, a pair of Louboutins will do, but you get our point, don’t you?

Well, what if we tell you that some of our local celebs can in fact pass as real-life Disney princesses? They might not have seven dwarves or a magic carpet, but these ladies sure look like they came straight off a fairytale book. Come on, don't be such a killjoy and join us for a fun game of figuring out who's who in Fantasyland. Scroll down and you can be the judge.

The fairytale described Snow White with skin as white as snow and lips as red as blood. We can’t help but be reminded of Anne Curtis, especially after she cut her dark tresses and got lobbed. And as you already know, it’s no secret that this celeb is fond of bold red pouts.

We also have a local version of Jasmine from Aladdin, and it’s none other than the reigning Miss World, Megan Young. If you noticed, they do share strikingly similar features like those big brown eyes and full lips. Now, Jasmine may be a princess, but let’s not forget that Megan is a beauty queen.

Speaking of queens, who else deserves the title of becoming Queen Elsa other than the Teen Queen herself? This Frozen royalty may be too blonde to be her twin, but we’ve already seen Kathryn Bernardo switch from one hair color to another and she can pull it off each time, no?

From the queen of teen stars, let’s move on to one of our teleserye princesses, Kim Chiu. It came as no surprise that this celebrity was chosen to portray Mulan in an upcoming Disney project in Southeast Asia. After all, this chinita princess is armed with not only good looks but plenty of acting awards, too.

You know who else just got recently tapped by Disney? It’s the popstar royalty, Sarah Geronimo! In a commercial aired on Disney Channel, it was officially announced that she’ll be recording her version of The Glow which is a song from the movie Tangled. We don’t know about you, but this for us is more than enough reason for her to be dubbed as our local Rapunzel.

If it’s beauty we’re talking about, here’s another Sarah who’s blessed with that and more. Sarah Lahbati may not own talking teacups and candles at home, but this gorgeous brunette certainly shares plenty of similarities with Belle from Beauty and The Beast.

Since we’re talking about belles anyway, won’t you agree that Belle Daza can pass as the local Pocahontas? It’s not just love for nature that she has in common with the Disney princess. Needless to say, this morena beauty also has that healthy sun-kissed glow and lustrous jet black hair.

Here’s another local celebrity who can definitely portray a Disney princess character. Remember the redhead Merida from Brave? Don’t tell us you can’t see her resemblance with our very own Andi Eigenmann because we have the evidence right here.
