It went viral for a reason!

The Philippine passport's 10-year validity means being stuck with the same passport photo for a decade. So if you're getting yours renewed soon, you know you should make that one-minute photo-op count!

Luckily, the Department of Foreign Affairs does allow minimal makeup in passport photos. But for your turn in the booth, it's definitely best to have more than just blush and brows. Believe us, the camera flash will wash out everything that it can.

For a tried-and-tested makeup look you can cop, give Chie Filomeno's a shot. Her passport look got millions of views on TikTok—it's that good—and she showed exactly how she achieved it! Keep reading to see the exact products she used and some techniques to keep in mind for your photo session!

How to Do Chie Filomeno's Simple Passport Makeup Look

Step 1: Tinted Moisturizer

For a natural skin finish, Chie recommends evening out your skin tone with tinted moisturizer instead of foundation. Blend it out with a brush like she did to maintain the product's coverage and keep your hands clean!

Step 2: Liquid Blush

Blush is a must for any ID photo. Chie used a dewy liquid blush for her passport look, dotting the formula diagonally on the high points of her cheekbones for a lifted look.

Step 3: Eyes

You don't have to do an intricate eyeshadow look for your passport makeup. As Chie demonstrated in her video, a few sweeps of a muted brown shade on your crease can already help contour your eyes! For more definition, tightline with a brown pencil eyeliner. This will give the illusion of fuller lashes and wide-awake eyes!

Luckily for Chie, she has microbladed eyebrows and lash extensions, so mascara and brow products are optional. We all have our own preferred brow and lash routines anyway, so definitely stick to your favorites for this one.

Step 4: Contour and Highlight

With the same brown shade she used on her eyes, Chie lightly contoured her nose. This is a crucial step because the flash from the camera can wash out your features. That said, you shouldn't skip highlighter either: apply a good amount on the highest point of your cheekbones and the inner corners of your eyes for a photo-ready glow like Chie!

Step 5: Lipstick

Our local passport photo rules only allow minimal makeup, so make sure to wear a nude lip combo that you know looks great on you. Chie's choice? A nude pink lip liner with a warm almond matte lipstick on top.

Step 6: Setting Spray

To set her makeup, Chie finished off her look with an oil-controlling setting spray. You can totally do the same if you don't like the look of powder on your skin, but if you have an oily skin type, some powder on your T-zone can also help your makeup last much longer.
