1. Know your lip color before buying, and find a shade that makes your lips look better even when you have no base products on.
2. Dab don’t swipe! Application is sometimes key to achieving that soft matte look. Dabbing on the product instead of swiping gives off a more natural effect.
3. Don’t be scared to gravitate towards a darker lip color if you have a deeper skin tone. Some pigments also look different on darker or lighter lips, so be sure to swatch them!
