The Television Academy honors the best acts in American television at the 71st Primetime Emmy Awards. Before everyone had their golden trophies handed to them, however, the guests walked down the red carpet and made us witnesses to some cop-worthy beauty looks. Ahead, we run down some of our favorites and why we couldn't take our eyes off them:
Whether or not Zendaya is channeling Ariel with these mermaid waves on her red hair, this look still deserves a spot on this list.
2. Naomi Watts
Naomi Watts' blunt bob and vibrant lip instantly caught our eye, but it's that deep side part and ultra smooth flip that really made us do a double-take.
3. MJ Rodriguez
Pose star MJ Rodriguez wore the prettiest fuchsia pout to match her custom Jason Wu dress. Her sultry smokey eye added the perfect amount of depth to the look, too, and we honestly can't wait to cop this for our next night-out.
4. Gwendoline Christie
All hail Gwendoline Christie in Gucci and this unreal combo of sculptural glossy waves and a matte ruby lip color against her bleached brows.
5. Eris Baker
This Is Us' Eris Baker shows us how a 14-year-old can have fun on the red carpet with glitter extravaganza glam. So cute!
6. Julia Garner
Julia Garner's gilded eyes and lips went perfectly with the trophy she won for Best Supporting Actress in Ozark. The best way to preempt your own win, if you ask us!
7. Joey King
This tousled 'do gave this Audrey Hepburn-inspired Zac Posen gown a literal modern twist on young actress Joey King.
8. Carice van Houten
Carice, who played The Red Woman on Game of Thrones, showed up in a vampy red lip that eerily reminds us of her signature garb in the show—and we love it.
9. Viola Davis
Who says you can't wear a dark eye with a dark lip? Definitely not Viola Davis, who pulled off both with a perfectly fluffed 'do.
10. Indya Moore
Indya Moore from Pose had her lower lashline painted gold to complement her accessories from Louis Vuitton. Such an effortless, minimalist look that merits all the double-taps.
