Breakouts have been my enemy for quite some time now, and it’s only gotten worse because of the changing weather, hormonal imbalance, and stress. Plus, as a student, finding affordable solutions to my acne woes has been a challenge. So you can only imagine how excited I was to know that there is a dermatologist-tested spot treatment that doesn't break that bank: the Belo AcnePro Pimple Gel!
A Review of the Belo AcnePro Pimple Gel
What is the Belo AcnePro Pimple Gel?
Belo is known for its plethora of skin-saving and refining solutions, and this spot treatment claims to provide that in the comfort of our homes. Used by celebrities such as Rhian Ramos, Alexa Ilacad, and Kira Balinger, each tube of the AcnePro Pimple Gel contains purified bee venom, a clinically-proven ingredient that treats mild to moderate acne and reduces inflammation. It's anti-bacterial and promotes wound-healing, while also claiming to lighten the marks that pimples leave behind. The formula is oil-free, non-comedogenic, and hypoallergenic, too, making it suitable for even sensitive skin. The best part? You get all these benefits for P199.75, which is quite a steal!
To use, squeeze some gel onto your finger, apply onto the affected areas, then tap it in until fully absorbed! Easy, right? It is the third and final step of the Belo AcnePro Clear Skin System. This means that to get best results, use it together with the rest of the line, which includes a cleanser and toner.

How I Used It
I tried this spot treatment during one of my biggest breakouts since the start of the year. I used it every morning and night as the last step of my skincare routine, but before sunscreen in the morning. For reference, I have oily, sensitive skin, and only use cleanser, toner, serum, moisturizer, and sunscreen. The only active ingredient in my routine is niacinamide—I stopped using my usual BHA products to see how well the spot treatment fares on its own.
At first, I used a pea-sized amount to cover all affected areas, but I found it difficult to evenly distribute the gel, and sometimes it stung because it was too much product. So I began squeezing out tiny amounts that I felt were good for a thin layer on one affected area, tapped it in, and then squeezed out more for the other areas. This allowed me to apply just the right amount and be rid of the stinging sensation.

After a week, I noticed that the inflammation really did go down! Even if there were still some bumps, they were almost invisible. The spot treatment did a good job at flattening my small pimples, whiteheads, and blackheads, which were longstanding problems with my skin. However, my pus-filled and large pimples didn’t end up as flat as I’d hoped, which is understandable because these pimples tend to require extra treatment. My favorite thing about the product was that it prevented early pimples from sprouting. When I applied the treatment on areas where bumps started to form, they flattened and never came to head!

Conclusion
Overall, I think the Belo AcnePro Pimple Gel is great, especially for pimple prevention and treating mild to moderate acne. It’s not something I would reach for when I get large breakouts, but it has helped keep sprouting acne at bay. For a product that’s less than P200, I’d say you can’t go wrong with adding it in your acne-fighting routine!
