One day you’re in and the next day you’re out—the saying goes not just for fashion as it is also very true in the beauty department. While ombre locks and a few other 2014 trends failed to make the cut (see list of beauty trends to ditch here), today we show you the ones who live to fight another year. Honey, if you really want to claim 2015 as your breakout year, then don’t be caught dead sporting a tired look. Scroll down so we can begin. Chop-chop!
Marsala is the Pantone color of the year and if you can wear it on your svelte body, then we're certainly not stopping you to wear the hue on your pouts. Berry tints, deep reds, and various cousins of the plum family can all rejoice because their reign is not yet over.
And while you're at it, keep it in the matte department as well, because they, too, will be reincarnated this 2015. Just don't forget to use lip balm prior to applying your fave tube as it has a tendency to dry up your puckers.
If there's one trend that we're sure will never, ever go out of style, it would have to be the no-makeup makeup look. The trick to nailing this timeless trend is in knowing that it's not about mastering the makeup techniques, but more on the fact that it's all about having radiant beautiful skin that doesn't actually need to be covered up.
The shaggier the better! And by short 'dos, it don't necessarily mean lobs. Just keep it more or less shoulder length, don't overstyle it, and you should be fine. Feel free to play around with subtle layers, your bangs, and the right part for your face shape, as long as you don't get tempted to ombre-fy your tresses again.
UNDONE AND INTRICATE BRAIDS
There is beauty in imperfection. When it comes to the pretty plaits, there is no right or wrong way. Twist two fishtails together, put up your waterfall braids into a messy bun; do whatever floats your boat. For our tresses this year, the more undone yet put together it looks, the better.
One can never go wrong with having clean and polished nails. This year will be all about nudes, whites, and matte topcoats!
Since the arrival of Lulu dk in the country, beauty accessory has been all the rage. The latter part of our 2014 wouldn't have been complete without it and we're happy to announce that it ain't going nowhere. We're too excited to flaunt it in our bikinis this summer as well!
