In case you haven't noticed, Penshoppe's beauty aisles no longer only carry fragrances. You'll find a variety of hair care products on display now, too—from pomades, colored hair wax, sea salt spray, down to glitter hair gel. But it seems they aren't done expanding just yet. The local retail brand is officially venturing to makeup territory with their very own beauty line called Beauty Pop by Penshoppe.
To kick off their new label, Penshoppe is releasing two kinds of matte lipsticks with nine shades each. Both have been formulated in Japan and, according to the brand, it took them approximately two years to develop and perfect.
The HydraMatte lipsticks, which are infused with nourishing vitamin E, claim to provide full color with a velvet matte finish. Each lippie is packaged in an ombré pink and baby blue tube, possibly inspired by the product's airy feel.

Meanwhile, the LiteMatte lipsticks come in a peach and pink tube, and the formula is made for achieving a blurred, blotted lip look. It claims to be a lightweight yet buildable formula with a flattering powder matte finish. What's more, if you love dessert-themed products, you'll be glad to know that both lipsticks have a faint milk chocolate scent.

Brazilian model Lais Ribeiro and Dutch doll Romee Strijd, who are both known for being Victoria's Secret Angels, star in Beauty Pop's very first campaign and are the lipstick line's official ambassadors. We want them to embrace that and Beauty Pop by Penshoppe is made to accentuate that," says Golden ABC Inc.'s Vice President for Brand Management Jeff Bascon in a press release. "From [two] years of ideation and a year of product development and formulation, we are proud to offer a line that not only boasts of quality but also affordability."
The Beauty Pop lipsticks are now exclusively available on Penshoppe's website today, June 26, but will be dropping in select stores the following day.
