If you weren’t in the industry, what would you be doing?
I don’t know. Never really thought about it. Maybe I would have continued my masters or would have become a lawyer.
How would you define your signature look?
People say that my signature look is the “no make up” look. Others say it’s how I really combine colors and create a whole new color. But it really depends on my mood, I guess.
Who is your beauty icon?
Rorie Carlos. I love her simple yet elegant style.
Who is your dream client?
International it would be Oprah.
What is your personal make up regimen?
Sunblock everyday, eyeliner and lipstick!
What is your pet-peeve when it comes to typical Filipina make up?
Filipinas do not like to experiment when it comes to changing their looks. They always stick to the tried and tested. It’s nice for a while but our faces change every year so we need to change our make up too! Just have the courage to try something small first, like changing the color of your lipstick. See how it affects your look. Then you can gradually go onto harder things like eyeshadow.
What is one make up product you should always carry in your bag?
What is the first thing that you look at before applying make up on someone?
The eyebrows. Because if the eyes are the windows to the soul, then the eyebrows are the doors to the face!
What is your best make up tip?
Never leave the house without sunblock.
What is your favorite current make up trend?
Super thick brows and almost no make up look—just a hint of pink on the lips! It’s very summer and autumn.
