Remember when Emily Blunt wore a pristine chignon at the recently-concluded SAG Awards (where she won an award, by the way)? Well, it looks like we have a similar iconic bun moment at the Oscars, thanks to Ashley Graham.
Ashley hosted her Oscars segment wearing a gorgeous sleek bun by her trusted hairstylist Justine Marjan, who adorned her locks with custom-made velvet ribbons by Jennifer Behr—whose hair accessories are also loved by celebs like Janelle Monae, Katy Perry, and our very own Anne Curtis!
While Ashley's chignon looks absolutely amazing from the front, wait until you see it from the back:
Yep, we swooned when we saw that photo on our feeds! Justine shared all the steps to achieve this look on her Instagram stories—so here's how you can do it, too:
1. Prep damp hair with heat protectant then blowdry with a center part.
2. Flat iron roots, directing hair away from face.
3. Gather the top half of hair, applying gel to the roots and using a flat brush to polish. Secure with an elastic then repeat on bottom half.
4. Apply a hairnet over the ponytail and twist into a bun, then secure with French pins. Apply bows throughout with French pins then spritz with hairspray.
Now you, too, can wear it to your next big event!
