Anne Curtis always looks her best when she's hosting It's Showtime. But did you know that, more often than not, she only has five minutes to do her hair and makeup? Yes, five! To find out how exactly she pulls it off, we went straight to the source. In an exclusive interview with Preview, celebrity makeup artist Mikka Marcaida reveals how she helps Anne achieve buzzer-beating glam.
When we first asked Mikka if they really only had five minutes to get dolled up, the makeup artist replied with a resounding yes—"Sometimes even less," she confirms. Despite the time constraint, however, she always makes time to prep Anne's skin with some essence, moisturizer, and illuminating primer.
Thankfully, Anne has amazing skin, so the makeup artist reveals she only needs to use a pea-sized amount of BLK's foundation—no concealer! "She doesn't like covering her [eye] bags and freckles, so [the base] is super sheer," Mikka explains.

And because they're pressed for time, Mikka opts for products that blend quickly and easily on the skin, which are mostly cream products. Anne's contour, blush, and sometimes eyeshadow are all either creams and liquids! The makeup artist then blends everything with one brush to further speed up the process, before setting the host's T-zone with a loose powder.

Having no time for eye makeup, they just apply mascara for definition. "[Anne] helps me curl her lashes especially when it's crunch time," Mikka notes. "This wakes her [eyes] up on days when there's no time for eyeshadow and eyeliner." To compensate for the simple eye makeup, they finish off the look with a bold lip color. In this instance, they used a brick red liquid lipstick.

Sounds easy enough, right? And yet Anne still looks amazing on camera!
