A Girl’s Guide to Cocktails and Scents Make happy hour last all day long by paring these scents with your drink of choice.

A lot can be said about a person judging by the drink they order at the bar. A piña colada says you’re a tita that’s about to get turnt. A margarita gives off the impression that you’re a crowd pleaser. A beer would say that you’re just in it for the light chill buzz. But whatever poison you choose, it’s always best to know what mixes well with your drink of choice. While others struggle between calamari and nachos, we prefer to match our drinks with scents that liven up our olfactory system. Here’s a guide to AM-to-PM cocktails and what scent best goes with them.

MORNING

The Drink: An extra Bloody Mary

The Scent: DKNY MY NY Eau de Parfum, P4800, Rustan’s

Start your mornings by sending a shock of sugar to your system. With its vanilla and patchouli musk base, this fresh and sweet scent is bulit around a blend of raspberry, pink pepper, and galbanum. It's pure energy in a bottle

AFTERNOON

The Drink: A round of Bellinies

The Scent: Tom Ford Champaca Absolute Eau de Parfum

Keep it mellow for lunch. A more subtle interpretation of the 2012 version, this scent has a base of patchouli, smokey leather, and creamy wood that gives off the smell of vintage champagne before settling into wafts of bergamot and orange blossom.

NIGHT

The Drink: A glass of gin and tonic

The Scent: Penhaligon Juniper Sling, P7450 (50mL), Adora

End the day with an exhilarating scent. This light yet spicy unisex fragrance has intoxicating notes of juniper berries, orange, and cinnamon that are deepened by cardmom and pepper. It's the perfect scent for dinner and drinks that extend well into the night.
