A love for hair was in the blood for Ogie Rayel. Bitten by the styling bug early on, Ogie began working at his uncle, Toni Evangelista's salon in Balagtas, Bulacan right after graduating high school. Under the mentorship of Toni, he learned the ropes of the craft and perfected his expertise as a stylist.
Still wanting to pursue higher learning at the same time, he enrolled as a Civil Engineering major in a state university in Malolos, Bulacan balancing classes with clients. But as more and more time was demanded of Ogie at the salon, he chose to concentrate full time on hair styling.
Although his work at the salon spanned 15 years, it was his encounter with make up artist Denise Go that pushed Ogie into the center of the beauty and publishing industry. Seeing his work at a wedding, Denise got in touch with him and three days later he was booked to style hair for the cover of YES! magazine featuring the first batch of Starstruck winners. His career snowballing straight into success, the rest as they say, is history.
Today, as a member of the Kiehl's Stylist Series team, Ogie has become a Preview favorite, working on various editorials and covers, including the current July 2010 Georgina Wilson cover.
