Without looking like a disco ball!

As kids, we’re introduced to glitter in art class. As adults, we've come to dislike them as they pretty much cling on everywhere. But as the world of makeup continues to surprise us with the latest trends, we’re finding ourselves in a pickle: do we hitch on the glitter makeup trend or not? Lucky for you, girls, we’ve got just the easiest tricks to ease you into this makeup trend. Check out below how you can add some shine and sparkle to your makeup routine!

EASY

If you’re partial about sporting a full-blown glitter transformation, start with subtle glittery liner. Layer streaks of gold, silver, copper, or rose gold on top of your usual kohl liner to take your look from day to night.

Wear the galaxy on your lids by patting on ultra-fine glitter on top of your smokey eyes. But if you’re looking for a daytime look, glitter shadows in neutral colors are your friends. Dust and speckle some gold sheen across your lids. Keep it in one shade for a more natural-looking finish.

MODERATE

Opt for frosty highlights. Extend the party from your eyes to your cheekbones! Blend glitter powder where you’d naturally put your highlighter. Something like It girl Lauren Reid’s glittery cheekbone highlights here!

HARD

How about glitter lips or a molten metal pout? As we saw from Pat McGrath’s shimmery lip creations for Dior couture, we can wear some glitz on our lips without it looking too costumey. The secret? Keep your face bare and concentrate the glamour on your lips. Just like with Arci Muñoz’s dark lips, add some glitter at the center of your dark pout.

Mix in a bit of loose metallic glitter with some gloss to create a molten lip look. This will surely add drama to your smoochers!
