Frizz is mainly caused by the lack of moisture retained in the strands of your hair and follicles. This happens with heavy sun exposure and frequent use of heat styling tools. Humidity can also aid in frizzing up your hair because it opens up your hair cuticles, lets the outside air in, and you ultimately lose moisture in your hair. We talked with celebrity stylists Mark Rosales and Mycke Arcano to find out which products we should use to combat the havoc frizz brings upon our manes.
TRESemme Keratin Smooth Protectant, P450
Mark advises that "Before doing any hair style that involves heat, you must make sure to protect your hair with a product that will shield your strands from the damaging effects of heat while sealing in the shine."
Aveda Sun care after-sun hair masque, P1350, Aveda.com
The harmful effects of the sun will still affect your hair even if you're already in the shade! Mycke recommends to "Have your hair treated with an after-sun hair mask to immediately restore moisture to your hair."

Toni & Guy Leave-In Conditioner Manageability & Frizz Control, P330, Toni & Guy salons
"If you’re not styling your hair with heat, you can opt to apply a leave-in conditioner on your damp hair before you go about your day," says Mycke. Like sunscreen, frizz control shampoos should be your hair regimen nonnegotiable!
Davines Nourishing Vegetarian Miracle Conditioner, P1600, Davines.com
“It deeply moisturizes hair and makes it soft and shiny. It also improves the hair strand strength and structure,” Mark shares. So if you have extra time in the shower, you may want to leave this on your mane for a few minutes for optimal results
If you are dedicated to fighting the frizz for a longer time, you may want to try out Keratin treatments, like Cynos Kerasilk Treatment (P1500-3000, The Jing Monis Salons, Bench Fix, Thesis Salon), that will rebuild protein into the hair. But of course, you have to do some maintenance by using Keratin-infused hair products, too, or at least use products without sulfates or alcohol ingredients in them!
