Are you ready to see the aftermath? Two to three hours after the coloring experts have done their magic, here are the girls' new looks sporting a bolder hair color.

Alyssa Bana

School: UP Diliman

Course: Painting

What do you love about your hair color now?

I love that it’s not the usual silver color since it now has a hint of mint.

Why did you choose that color?

I’ve been eyeing silver locks for months now since I see a lot of girls rocking the so-called “Granny Hair.” I always color my hair with bright and fun hues so, for a change, I wanted to go for a subtler and cooler color.

Tentrix Banares

School: UP Diliman

Course: College of Fine Arts, Major in Visual Communication

What do you love about your hair color now?

It’s exquisite. Out of all the hair colors that I’ve tried, this shade represents my ultimate #hairgoal.

Why did you choose that color?

This specific hair color is very difficult (and sometimes impossible) to achieve if you do it yourself.

Justine Louise Burgos

School: Ateneo de Manila University

Course: BS Management

What do you love about your hair color now?

I love how it’s completely different from my natural hair color. A year ago, bleaching my hair wouldn’t even be an option. I guess, now, especially with the help of the very talented Matrix educators, I am more open to experimenting with colors and finding those that would suit me, my skin and my lifestyle. My new hair color gives me a different kind of confidence. I guess it comes with the courage I mustered to go a bit more daring. It’s a success.

Why did you choose that color?

I chose to go with ombre balayage because it’s a way for me to ease into the idea of bleaching my hair. If a time comes that I decide to go back to darker hair, I can just chop the bleached part off.

Melissa Gohing

School: DLSU-M

Course: AB-PHM undergrad, MMC masters

What do you love about your hair color now?

I feel more confident with my hair. I stopped caring about what other people think. I feel more free now about my personal style.

Why did you choose that color?

It's really been my dream hair.

Beatriz Airah Yu

School: DLSU

Course : BS in Financial Institutions

What do you love about your hair color now?

It's very eye catching and unique.

Why did you choose that color?

I've always wanted to try a light color for my hair. It's my first time to have my hair bleached and I was actually scared at first. I just showed a photo of my desired hair color to the stylist and, to my surprise, he was able to copy the color that I want. He even made a better mix of it.
