1 Hair Brush, 5 Reasons Why It Rocks The quintessential hairbrush celebrates 75 glorious years in the business.

It all began in 1938 when John Denman Dean applied for patent protection for his rubber-cushioned hair brush. The prominent engineer was working on a boar-bristle brush until his work with the American Government introduced him to a newer material, nylon.

Years later, spurred by Vidal Sasson, the Denman brush gained popularity with the popular bob styles that dominated the ‘60s. The brush’s unrivalled quality was perfect for creating the smooth ends that the hairstyle required, and was quickly brought to fame.
