Do you have thin lips like Kirsten Dunst or Kate Hudson but are too scared to go under the needle for plumper pouts? Today we show you that there is no need for that. Ladies, that’s what makeup is for! To temporarily fix our genetic problems, that is. So today on #TipTuesday we teach you how to make your thin lips look fuller ala Anne Curtis or Angelina Jolie, with just a few makeup tricks. Scroll down to see a few tried and tested secrets.
TRICK NUMER ONE: USE A LIP LINER
Using lip liner doesn’t only stop your stain from bleeding and give your lips a rather perfect shape, it also creates a subtle 3D effect to make your pouts look fuller. P.S. Remember to use a shade that is only a wee bit darker than your lipstick, nothing more, nothing less.
TRICK NUMBER TWO: MIX TWO SHADES OF LIPSTICK
Combining different shades to get your desired hue will also do plumping wonders when applied a certain way. Simply add a bit more of the lighter shade on the center of your upper and lower lips and blend with a brush. You can also use a nude lip pencil and then cover it with your chosen lip stain after to get that 3D magic.
TRICK NUMBER THREE: USE A HIGHLIGHTER
Also used to make your red lipstick pop, outlining your lips with a highlighter will create a pouty illusion. Apply on the area around your top lip up to your cupid’s bow so that it will catch the light nicely giving you noticeably fatter lips in no time.
TRICK NUMBER FOUR: TRY USING A LIP PLUMPER
Bring back the youthful suppleness of your puckers with a lip plumper. It’s not a common product here in the Philippines, but ISkin New York’s Lipaddict Voluptuous Lip Plumper is a product you can try if you want a slightly more permanent effect. It’s a lip plumper slash shimmer in one, available in 12 colors. It contains marine collagen that will yield sexy and seductive lips sans the stinging one can get from other lip size-improving products. (Product is available at Flawless)
