1. Summer Stripes
Rosie Assoulin, SS 2017
Summer stripes are one of the easiest trends to style. They can function as a graphic element that works similarly to color-blocking. Don't forget the additional height you get when you know how to style it! Don't be afraid to mix your stripes, too.
Versace, SS 2017
Don't fret wearing sporty pieces in the middle of summer! Get creative with your lightweight bomber jackets and snapback caps. As Vince says, you might have some athleisure gems stowed away in your gym bag! Just style them with the right pieces and you're totally on the right track.
Bomber jackets in lighweight colors are perfect for jersey skirts just like what Vince did. Or maybe take Kath's technique and use a similarly-colored jacket paired with a separate to make it look like a sporty suit.
Gucci, SS 2017
Abandon your belief that flowers are too romantic! While it's true that florals for spring aren't groundbreaking, Isha and Vince note that the print is refreshing when done in big and bold patterns or has a tropical vibe.
Victoria Beckham, SS 2017
Deconstructed shirts are still on trend this summer! You just have to be more creative in layering them. And as Isha and Vince said, a versatile white button-down is a must-have in every wardrobe. Coincidentally, you can achieve the trend with just that!
Marques Almeida, SS 2017
Contrary to popular belief, denim is definitely hot for summer. Undone and frayed hems are all the rage which you can totally DIY!
But apart from these summer trends, we learned a whole lot more from Isha and Vince. According to them, if you're interested in making it big in the fashion industry as a fashion stylist, heed this piece of advice: experiment, get creative, and find your personal style so you can stand out!
