What it's really like to attend New York Fashion Week can usually be described in one word: hectic. With barely any bathroom and lunch breaks in between, the seven-day affair is the exhilarating (yet exhausting) reality fashionphiles face several times a year. But then again, for the love of it all, everyone finds it within themselves to still make an appearance.

Kim Jones is no stranger to this as hopping from one show to another is her seasonal routine. For Spring 2018, however, it was her first time getting invited to see Tom Ford's latest collection.

In an exclusive interview with Preview, she gives us a sneak peek into the show and some of her beauty must-haves:

"Tom Ford knows who he's dressing, and this season it was a very strong, confident woman channeling his signature '90s glam," Kim begins. "The collection was a combination of his design strengths that we've seen in most of his work throughout his career in different houses."

"The beauty looks were pared back save for the dramatic new take on the ubiquitous cat-eye," she continues.

When asked about what makes this particular show attendance so unique, Kim answers, "Tom Ford shows are exclusive and intimate, and experiencing the show for the first time was so interesting—he's as fearless as ever and his confidence from Hollywood to his beauty empire has translated through to his collection."

She then predicts that SS18's revealing maillots and well-cut blazers (contrasting must-have's for the TF woman) will surely be brought into the next season. Take notes, ladies!

Touching on the designer's beauty empire, part of the show experience was an intimate makeover session. Selected showgoers like Kim had a chance to sit in a Tom Ford Beauty artist's makeup chair for some pre-show glam. She then became smitten by two products specifically, both being perfect for a neutral flush.

"I love the Bronzing Powder in 02 Terra and the Cheek Color in 02 Love Lust, which is a really warm, peach-based blush. These are perfect for me because I prefer more subtle, natural colors in my makeup routine," she shares. Thankfully, one of these cheek gems is now locally available, while Love Lust's coral twin is also a mall stroll away.
