Philippine National Hero Jose Rizal once said, "To foretell the destiny of a nation, it is necessary to open a book that tells of her past." It's a truth Jul B. Dizon Jewellery is banking on for its newest collection, Simbolo.

Simbolo is a tribute to the Filipino's heart and heritage, made exquisitely tangible with diamonds, with sapphires and rubies, pearls and peridots, and many other exquisite gemstones, all nestled in solid 18K gold.

Not only that, but the collection has got a slew of Filipino personalities as its faces, all wearing Simbolo the way they would in everyday life.

Inspired by the Filipino culture, Simbolo is neither new nor trendy to the Dizon family. A rekindling of nationalism among siblings Cedric, Candice, Lucille, CJ, and Ginny fueled the passion to translate identity and culture into gems of heritage in this 2017 collection. What Simbolo stands for has been a recurring theme in their collaborative work and life with their mother, after whom Jul B. Dizon Jewellery has been named, from whom its core values of patriotism, family, and good work ethic have been drawn.

“My mom was a patriot,” recalls Candice. “She was very vocal about her love of country. She devoted much of her time as an active member of the People’s Patriotic Movement, a foundation focused on educating the people on how to make the country prosper.”

The pieces are designed to suit the love of country that should be, in fact, an everyday mood, vibrant and fervent and unmistakable—something we definitely agree with.
