If you've spotted Jasmine Curtis-Smith on Bayo billboard space there’s a couple of things you need to know. First, she is not replacing KC Concepcion as the brand’s endorser and second, the pretty actress is actually the face of the new, younger, diffusion label Love, Bayo.
We caught up with Bayo’s Marketing Officer, Madel De Leon, to ask her more about their newest baby and their newest talent.
Can you describe to us the Love, Bayo line? How is it different from its sister companies, Bayo and Missy?
It is a new line of Bayo aimed for the young ladies who are so in touch with fashion. And since fashion evolves so fast, what's hip today may not be that hip anymore in two weeks, Love Bayo is there to address the need. Love Bayo is fast fashion. Its target age range is from thirteen to eighteen. While, its price ranges from P395-P695.
Bayo is a little bit pricier, just a little. It is for ages eighteen to thirty, a more for the mature market. The line consists of trendy pieces but still with a lot more of the basics. It is also fun and trendy in a more sophisticated and mature kind of way. Missy on the other hand describes a more feminine and sophisticated fashion.
Describe the pieces of the Love, Bayo collection and what is the overall look?
Collection is colorful; [there are] a lot of fun pieces that are easy to mix and match. [There's] definitely a lot of fashionable and creative designs. We also release fresh new collections almost on a weekly basis.
Why did you pick Jasmine as the face of Love, Bayo?
Because she is exactly what Love, Bayo is all about. She embodies what a young teenager should be—young, fresh, fun and every inch a young woman who seems to be enjoying her youth and her fashion.
It has been a known fact that Bayo has always been very careful and discerning in our choice of endorsers. We are proud that our endorsers are all well-rounded and women of substance, women who have good heads on their shoulders in spite of their celebrity status, women who use their celebrity into good use and cause, women of beauty and brains. Plus, on top of what and who she is, we chose Jasmine also simply because Jasmine chose to Love Bayo!
How does her personality and character relate to Love, Bayo?
Jasmine's personality is described to be young, fresh, and very spontaneous. Someone who is enjoying what life is to offer and that's Love, Bayo.
What can we look forward to from Bayo and its sister brands?
