All three gowns Catriona Gray brought to Miss Universe 2018 were worth over a million pesos.

Catriona Gray prepared three gowns designed by Mak Tumang for the Miss Universe pageant.

The 24-year-old beauty queen was able to wear two: the Ibong Adarna-inspired gown that she wore during the preliminary competition on December 13, and the Mayon-inspired red gown that she wore when she was crowned Miss Universe 2018 on December 17.

Both events took place at IMPACT Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.

On Wednesday, December 26, the third gown was finally revealed: a golden and teal-colored gown embellished with gold South Sea Pearls.

According to Instagram page @powerhouseph_, the gown was called "Pearla Oriente."

The post read: "Pearl of the Orient Seas is the byname given to our beautiful country, the Philippines. Even our National Hero Dr. Jose Rizal referred the country with this sobriquet in his poem: Mi último adiós. Aside from the fact that our country is one of the largest producers of pearls, the Philippines is truly a gem! It is beautiful, enchanting, and captivating. Indeed a high value and rare pearl! This piece in itself is an extolment of the Philippines. May we always be proud of our roots. May we always treasure and cherish it as this is and will always be our 'Bayang Magiliw...Perlas ng Silanganan."

Catriona was supposed to wear the gown in the pageant's "That Night" welcome dinner, which was held at Dusit Thani Bangkok last December 5.

In a teaser posted by Mak on Instagram last November 21, the designer said the materials alone of all three gowns Catriona brought to Miss Universe were worth P1,025,091.

The gowns Catriona wore at the Miss Universe pageant and the gold evening gown she wore at the Binibining Pilipinas pageant last March are currently on display at SM Pampanga.
