If you loved Game of Thrones and The Tudors, then this brand new period drama is right up your alley. The best part? It's all about women weaving their webs of power in a tumultous royal court! Introducing The White Princess (yes, adapted from Philippa Gregory's novel of the same name!), which offers a glance into the world of Henry VII through the eyes of the ladies who surround him.

Opening in the aftermath of the 1485 battle of Bosworth (the final conflict in England's bloody War of the Roses), the eight-episode miniseries tells the tale of Elizabeth of York, who is forced to marry the newly-crowned Henry VII in order to finally bring peace to their warring families. The catch: they hate each other. Elizabeth struggles, torn between loyalty to her blood relatives, placating her husband and mother-in-law, and making a rising name for herself at court.

As if this plotline rife with intrigue and politics isn't tantalizing enough, writer Emma Frost has more to add: "This is a marriage that has the highest stakes you can possibly imagine. Its success or failure will determine the future of the whole country—whether it falls back into war and bloodshed or whether it's able to maintain this very uneasy peace."

The White Princess airs in April. We almost wish the months would go by quicker!
