This year at the Met Gala, everyone had their own way of making a statement; after all, Rei Kawakubo's Commes des Garçons is at the heart of the event. That said, we run down the best beauty looks that caught our attention. Check them out below:
1. Selena Gomez
To liven up her all-white outfit, Selena wore berry-hued wings on her eyes. Look a little closer and you'll see the red fade into a soft, shimmery pink.
You'd think that Riri's beauty look would go unnoticed in her Commes ensemble, but of course, it didn't. She raised the bar even higher with a messy top knot and ombre draped blush. Her perfectly-lined lips were the literal cherry on top of her look!
3. Cara Delevingne
How to make a buzz cut look blindingly chic? Easy. Paint your scalp silver! Sprinkle a few crystals all over and you're good to go like Cara.
4. Gigi Hadid
Gigi went head-to-toe beige with faux bleached brows and newly-dyed hair, which was twisted into intricate knots. The loose section of hair on her right side was an extra chic touch.
Zendaya always slays the hair game and her Met look was no exception. She wore her hair in big curls for the night, and matched the parrot hues on her Dolce & Gabbana dress with a bright orange lip.
6. Lily Collins
Lily Collins proves that goth chic need not involve eyeliner. Micro bangs, spidery lashes, and a dark lip were all she needed to bring in the drama.
8. Karlie Kloss
Karlie Kloss bleached her hair platinum blonde and debuted a new cut on the red carpet. She paired it with minimal makeup, which allowed her freshly chopped locks to take center stage.
9. Jaden Smith
Unlike Karlie, Jaden Smith couldn't let his old hair go. Literally. He carried his severed dreadlocks by hand as he took photos in a buzz cut and gold grills.
10. Zoe Kravitz
Zoe Kravitz's take on rose-toned makeup was the minimalist look of the night. Wearing her brows dark with her blonde hair framed her face perfectly, not to mention the almost invisible hint of blush that made her cheekbones glow.
11. Thandie Newton
With eyes fully shaded with kohl, Thandie Newton gave us a look that had Commes des Garcons' "unpretty" aesthetic written all over it.
12. Brie Larson
Although "pretty" wasn't really the event's dress code, we have to give Brie Larson's gold speckled side-part a shoutout. That, and her blinding rosy cheek.
13. Rose Byrne
Big curls were a big trend for the night, and Rose Byrne's half-sleek, half-disco hair definitely won our hearts.
